About George W. Rector

Dr. George Rector is a retired optometrist who currently works as a volunteer peer counselor for the National MS Society in Orlando. He worked as an optometrist from 1971 to 1996, and holds a B.S. and a O.D. from Indiana University.

In 1997, Rector was awarded with the IU Alumni Association award. And, in 1998, he was presented with the Indiana University School of Optometry Foley House Basement Key Award which recognizes an alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and/or service to the IU School of Optometry.
