About Rebecca L. Higgins

Becky Higgins is a first grade teacher at Copley-Fairlawn Herberich Elementary School in Akron, OH. Higgins has spent 19 years at the elementary school before being elected to head the Ohio Education Association teachers union in 2013.

As an IU alum, Higgins is active in the Akron chapter of the IUAA. She received the IUAA President's Award in 1992.
