Frank Coffroth Dailey was born in Bluffton, Indiana in 1870. He initially co-founded the Bluffton Evening News, then sold it before entering Indiana University. He earned his IU degree in 1894. He married Edna Field and they had two sons: George S. and Field T. Dailey. Dailey In 1914, he moved to Indianapolis and was appointed by Woodrow Wilson as Assistant U.S. District Attorney. Dailey practiced law in Indiana until age of 88. He died on June 29, 1964, in Indianapolis.
