About George N. Lane

George N. Lane was a native of Louisville, a retired banker, and a chairman of the board for CB Bankshares, formerly Citizens Bank & Trust Co. He attended the University of Louisville, graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking and later attended the Kentucky School of Banking.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and had formerly served as director for the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. He was a member of the United Way, American Red Cross Clark County Chapter, YMCA of Clark County, Clark County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Southern Indiana, Leadership Louisville, Indiana University Southeast Advisory Board, Norton Kosair Children's Hospital and the Ogle Foundation Board.
