About William L. Shrewsberry, Jr.
William Shrewsberry is the President/CEO of Shrewsberry & Associates, a DBE/MBE/VBE engineering and environmental consulting firm based in Indianapolis, IN. Shrewsberry has a B.S. in Business Management from Indiana University - Southeast and a M.S. of Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He has 27 years of management experience at Indiana Bell/Ameritech, and then he founded his own firm in 2001.
In addition to his career in business, Shrewsberry has had a long public service career. He held offices such as Deputy Mayor of the City of Indianapolis, Executive Director of White River State Park, Commissioner of Indiana Department of Administration, and Executive Assistant to the Governor. His community service includes positions on the Hanover College Board of Trustees, Indiana Convention & Visitors Association, Indiana Sports Corporation, Indiana University School of Public & Environmental Affairs (SPEA) Board of Visitors, Methodist Health Foundation, and the Mind Trust Board. He has received both the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Chancellor's Medallion from IU-Southeast.
In 2019, Indiana University awarded Shrewsberry with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at its spring commencement ceremony in New Albany, Indiana, for his outstanding achievement to the humanities, and for his continued commitment to community engagement and public service.
