About Robert W. Lanum
Robert W. Lanum attended Indiana University and graduated with a B.S. in Business in 1959. He attended the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and earned a J.D. in 1968, and was admitted that same year in the U.S. Tax Court.
Lanum is the President and CEO of the Paul Ogle Foundation in Jeffersonville, IN. He not only was one of its original founding members in December 1979, but is also a lifetime member of the Board. Since 1985, he has been a senior partner in the law firm of Stites & Harbison PLLC. Lanum has been a CPA and an attorney in the Southern Indiana area for over forty years, and is active in corporate, estates, and tax law, for which he was honored by Indiana Super Lawyers for eight continuous years (2004-2011).
Lanum is a member of the Regional Leadership Coalition and Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel. He serves on the board of advisors of both Junior Achievement and Jeffersonville Carnegie Library Foundation, and serves on the board of directors of Indiana University Foundation. Lanum received the Chancellor's Medallion in 2002 from Indiana University-Southeast, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at IU Southeast's 2018 Commencement Ceremony.
In 2020, Robert W. Lanum was presented the Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished service to Indiana University.
