Susan Sciame-Giesecke is Indiana University's vice president for regional campuses and online education. The position is a newly formed role, providing focused strategic leadership for IU's five regional campuses and online programs.
Sciame-Giesecke previously served as the chancellor and professor of organizational communication arts at IU Kokomo. She earned a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Ball State University in 1976, a master's in speech communication from Illinois State University in 1977, and a Ph.D. in speech communication from IU Bloomington in 1995.
Sciame-Giesecke's research focuses on improving communication interactions for collaboration and productivity. Throughout her time at IU Kokomo, Sciame-Giesecke has served various leadership positions including dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, and chair of the Department of Humanities.
Sciame-Giesecke received the IU Bicentennial Medal in August 2019 in recognition of her distinguished service as chancellor of IU Kokomo.
