Thomas N. Frederick was the Executive Director of the St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center. An adjunct professor at IUSB for more than 20 years, Frederick spent his life helping the youth in Michiana. His efforts were recognized by the St. Joseph's County Commissioners and County Council when they voted to name the juvenile facility he worked to create the Thomas N. Frederick Juvenile Justice Center.
Mr. Frederick was the first recipient of the Henry R. Ferretti Award for the most outstanding county employee in St. Joseph County in 1986. In 1989, he was selected as the outstanding Adjunct Lecturer for the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, South Bend, and was the past president of the Probation Officer Professional Association, Inc., and served on Various other state and local boards.
