Hugo C. Songer is a retired judge of the Dubois County Circuit Court. He also spent twenty years on the State Board of Law Examiners. In his retirement, Songer has become a noted historian on his hometown of Duff, IN and Dubois County, putting his efforts into publishing histories of Duff and Huntingburg, IN along with historical fiction novels such as "Dufftown" (200) and "The Buffalo Trace to Tippecanoe" (2010).
Songer graduated from IU School of Law in 1960, and is a past president of its alumni association.
