Irwin B. Levin is the managing partner of Cohen & Malad, LLP. in Indianapolis. Levin graduated from McKinney School of Law in 1978 and first worked for Marion County Circuit Court before joining the firm later in the year. He primarily practices in the areas of class actions and commercial litigation, but he is best known for being a lead counsel in the 1987 Indianapolis Ramada Inn/United States Air Force crash and the Greenwood air crash disaster, among other prominent cases. Levin has been counsel in class actions involving securities fraud, insurance and consumer protection throughout the United States, and has actively litigated in the drug litigation arena.
Levin is active in the community with a variety of memberships in numerous organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, past chairman of Israel Bonds, board member and vice president of Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, and the Indiana Chair fo the American Israel Public Affairs Committee National Council.
