Talmadge Neil Moore is the Director of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration and Vice President of The Center for American and International Law in Plano, TX. He was appointed to this role in 2011.
Moore also was the executive director of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute from 2008 to 2011. As the executive director, Moore was responsible for leading statewide public policy and for the planning and administration of more than $30 million in federal and state funds designed to improve Indiana's criminal and juvenile systems. He also served as the director for the Center of Criminal Science at the Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, IN. Moores career in law enforcement began in 1977 as a police officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department. After 11 years as an officer, Moore was promoted to chief in 1988. He held this position until his retirement from police service in 1997.
With 22 years of law enforcement experience, Moore used his retirement to become an assistant professor at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. He holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University, a M.A. in Public Administration from Indiana University and a Doctor of Education from Ball State University.
