Charlotte Pfeifer is the director of Judicial Affairs and an associate faculty member at Indiana University - South Bend. As the director, Pfeifer enforces the Student Code of Conduct, develops training modules, and facilitates new student and faculty orientations. She also teaches an introductory course to women's studies at IUSB, which she has done since 1995. Pfeifer was appointed as director in 2008.
She attended Indiana University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1979 and a master's degree in public administration in 1981. Prior to her current job, Pfeifer served as a member of the South Bend Common Council for 12 years. During her time on the council, she sponsored two ordinances and co-sponsored three other ordinances. She also was the executive director of St. Joseph County's DuComb Center, which is an alternative program for those who choose to do community service instead of prison time, from 1982 to 1995.
Pfeifer received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 1985.
