About Michael Hanes

Michael Hanes is the president and CEO of the Whittaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, PA. Hanes was appointed to lead the Whittaker Center in 2006 after serving as the president of Georgia Southwestern State University for ten years. He also was the dean of the School of Education at West Chester University from 1987 to 1996 in West Chester, PA.

He holds three degrees from Indiana University and is a 2007 recipient of the School of Education Distinguished Alumni Award.
