About Joan Kowal

Joan Kowal is a former school superintendent, having led school in California, Florida, and Missouri. She currently works as an education consultant.

She attended Marquette University for her undergraduate education and has a master's degree and a doctorate in education from Indiana University. She received the IU School of Education Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998.
