Beverly Simone is the retired president of Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, IA. She held the position from 2005 to 2012. Under her leadership, SCC gained new facilities for its construction and welding programs, and added new programs such as computer animation. She also help the effort to pass a six-cent tax that led to more funding for equipment and technology purchases. Previously, she was the president of Madison Area Technical College.
Simone has been in community college education for more than forty years. She graduated from IU with a master's degree and a doctorate in education, and received the School of Education Distinguished Alumni Award.
