Madeline Marcelia Garvin has been an independent educator, educational speaker, and freelance writer for Frost Illustrated Newspaper since 1973. She also taught English and Business courses in several urban high schools in Fort Wayne, and was an adjunct professor at IPFW in the late 1980s.
Garvin has a B.A. in English and French Education from IU and a M.A.E. in English and Guidance Counseling from Ball State University. She received the School of Education Distinguished Alumni Award in 1990.
