Thomas l. Good is a professor and head of the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Arizona. He previously taught at University of Texas at Austin and University of Missouri - Columnia. Good's research interests include the communication of performance expectations in classroom settings and the analysis of effective instruction, especially in schools that serve children who reside in poverty.
Good's work has been endorsed by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Mental Health. He is a Fulbright Fellow and the long-term editor of the Elementary School Journal. He has a B.A. from University of Illinois, and a M.S. and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.
