About Jerry Hammes

Jerry Hammes provided direction and sustained leadership in creation of a one-stop research area with the Hammes Information Commons for students, faculty and the community. Mr. Hammes' main business activities include real estate, financial institutions and transportation. He serves as chairman of the boards of Romy Hammes, Inc., and the Peoples Bank of Kankakee County. He also served as a member of the board of Skyline Corp. In 2020, Mr. Hammes received Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the university.
