About Erdal Yildirim

The medallion was presented to Erdal Yildirim, President of the Vehbi Koc Foundation, in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in nonprofit management and philanthropy over his career in Turkey and around the globe. The Vehbi Koç Foundation is one of the biggest non-governmental charitable organizations in Turkey. The foundation is active in the fields of education, healthcare and culture. The Vehbi Koç Foundation has established Koç University, Koç School and many Koç elementary schools across the country, and a number of hospitals as well. The Vehbi Koç Foundation also runs various museums across Istanbul. Erdal Yildirm graduated from Indiana University with a Master's degree in Philanthropy.
