About Sergio Marchionne

Machionne received his honorary degree from IU Kokomo while serving as Chairman and CEO of Chrysler Group, LLC. His leadership strategy at the time included the investment of over a billion dollars into the Kokomo Transmission Plant, increasing the number of available jobs and internship opportunities for the entire Kokomo community.

Marchionne is a widely known executive in the automotive industry, and his skilled management has been recognized for the turnaround of both the Italian automotive group Fiat and the American automotive group Chrysler. He has been an agent of change in Italian industrial relations, establishing models of regional trade rather than traditional national agreements.
