About Darby A. McCarty

Darby A. McCarty has been the President and CEO of Smithville Communications, Indiana's largest privately held communications company, since 2003. Under Darby's leadership, Smithville donated a historic $250,000 to the "For The Glory of Old IU: The Campaign for IU Athletics", where Darby serves on the Steering Committee. Smithville and the McCarty family continues to support the Varsity Club through 40 years of donations, becoming one of the most generous donors in IU history.

Darby is a Lifetime Member of the IU Alumni Association and is on the Varsity Club Board of Directors. She was awarded to the IUF President's Circle and continues to support Indiana University's commitment to their student-athletes.
