Uzma Mirza is an architect with AYN Architect Studio LLC in Fort Wayne, IN. She is an American and Canadian registered architect with NCARB and licensed in the United States. She is LEED certified with the US Green Building Council and has experience and knowledge in various building types as Healthcare, Educational/University and Public Schools, Cultural Centers, Museums, Science and Technology, Institutional, Residential and Sacred Architecture in Mosque, Church, Synagogue design. Mirza has been adjunct faculty at Indiana-Purdue University and is a published artist and architect.
As founder and president of The Pen and Inkpot Foundation, Uzma Mirza and her foundation's generous support funds the Uzma Mirza International RISE Scholarship, which directly benefits School of Education students who wish to expand their studies of Islam, Islamic art and Islamic architecture. The foundation also generously supports study abroad opportunities, which exemplifies part of the school's mission and work to help future teachers, school counselors and education leaders expand their global perspective and positively impact the educational experience in urban schools. The Pen and Inkpot Foundation supports sustainable and green building; education and scholarships for the art of Pen and Inkpot; and educational symposiums.
