Kathy Cabello received her B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from Eastern Michigan University and her MBA from the University of Notre Dame. She began her career as a computer engineer. While in the corporate arena, she transitioned to marketing and customer account management, where her love for strategy and marketing was born. This led to her starting Cabello Associates, a full service, marketing consultancy. As a bilingual and bicultural professional, she brings an added wealth of marketing knowledge that transcends both the general market as well as the Hispanic market. Her experience and success in the business world includes working with clients regionally, nationally and internationally.
As a first-generation American and the first member of her family to attend college directly from high school, Cabello understands the challenges Latinos face in pursuing higher education. Her passion for promoting and encouraging higher education for youth leads her to blend her business strengths in order to mentor Hispanic/Latino youth and provide networking opportunities. An active member of the community, Cabello is President Emeritus and a founding member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs – Indianapolis chapter and serves on the executive board of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Indianapolis. She is a member of the New Wishard Diversity Advisory Board, IUPUI Chancellor Dialogue Advisory Group, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Business Council and an alumnus of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series Class XXIV. She also devotes much of her time to mentoring Hispanic youth, tutoring math students and leading pre-college programs such as Project Stepping Stone of Indiana.
