Kim Manlove completed his education at IUPUI. Following his education, Manlove started a career at IUPUI, serving as the Assistant Dean of the Faculties for 26 years. In this position, he oversaw the Office of Academic Policies for the campus.
In May of 2006 he accepted a position with Fairbanks Treatment facility, serving as Project Director for the Strategic Prevention Framework/State Incentive Grant for State of Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. Following that role, he became the Project Direct of Program Development and Outreach at Fairbanks as well as the Director of the Indiana Addictions Issues Coalition at the Mental Health America of Indiana. He is passionately involved in local and national substance abuse prevention and education. Manlove is co-chair of the Parent Partners, a national drug prevention program of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. In 2005 the Family Services of Central Indiana, Inc. presented Manlove, his wife, Marissa, and their son Joshua, with the Alice M. Ross Salute to Families Award, for their work in the prevention of adolescent substance abuse since 2001. In 2006, Fairbanks presented Kim and Marissa their Circle of Hope Award.
In 2012, Manlove and his wife were awarded the IUPUI Spirit of Philanthropy award in recognition of their support of IUPUI athletics. The Manloves are long-time multisport season ticket holders and have contributed to student-athlete scholarships via the Jaguars Athletics Club for more than 20 years. In addition, Kim currently serves on the club's volunteer board of directors.
