Dr. Thomas DeCoster graduated from St. Benedict’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, then earned a Master of Science degree in Economics and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He is now a partner with London Witte & Company, LLP where he oversees the firm’s Management Advisory Services.
DeCoster was a professor at the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI for 38 years. During that time, he served as Director of the Executive Education Program at SPEA IUPUI, a position he held for more than 25 years. Under his leadership, the Executive Education Program became the largest public sector program of its kind in the U.S.. DeCoster was a faculty member in SPEA IUPUI's Graduate Program in Health Administration, and is the founding director of the Indiana Hospital Association Management Institute. Currently, he is the executive director of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) National Transportation Leadership Institute, and director of the AASHTO Advanced Leadership Institute.
DeCoster and his wife, Pat, created the Tom and Pat DeCoster scholarship at SPEA to support single parents pursuing degrees.
