IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2010

About David E. Westerhaus

David Westerhaus graduated from IU in 1984. He went on to complete a Masters of Education in 1986 as well as an MBA in 2008. He was the operations manager at Finishmaster. As a student, Westerhaus was known for his strong support of the MBA program and the Indiana University system, as well as his involvement with the Global Supply Chain and Innovation Enterprise (gSCIE), which executed pro-bono consulting projects for area industry. He was known for his enthusiasm toward the school, its students and faculty and frequently hosted events for fellow students and encouraged students and professionals to connect with Kelley.

After Westerhaus unexpectedly passed away in 2009, a scholarship was established in his honor. The David E. Westerhaus Leadership Award is presented annually to a Kelley School of Business Student.
