About Pauline Payton

Pauline Payton and her husband, Robert, have been long-time friends of the IUPUI University Library, as well as the Center on Philanthropy and the IUPUI School of Liberal Arts. In 1989, the Paytons helped to found a library for the study of philanthropy within the University Library. The library is named for two of the Paytons’ sons, both of whom were deeply engaged in philanthropic activities before their untimely deaths. Mr. and Mrs. Payton’s unwavering support has helped transform the Joseph and Matthew Payton Philanthropic Studies Library into an internationally renowned resource for the study of philanthropy.
