About Patricia S. Mirsky

Patricia Mirsky received her doctorate in Education in 1988. She spent her professional career as a special education teacher, service as the director of special education and school psychologist in the Speedway School System. Following her retirement, Mirsky began composing poetry and fulfilling her lifelong dream to write children's books.

Mirsky and her late husband, Arthur, were strong supporters of IUPUI Earth Sciences through scholarship opportunities. The Dr. Arthur Mirsky Geology Scholarship Fund has been a significant resource for many students through the years.
