Harriet M. Ivey is founding president and CEO of the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust and immediate past chair of the Center on Philanthropy’s Board of Visitors. By sharing her expertise, she has significantly advanced the center’s efforts to increase the understanding and improve the practice of philanthropy.
Ms. Ivey’s distinguished nonprofit sector career has included leading the Fannie Mae Foundation, serving as vice president of the national fundraising consulting firm Brakeley, John Price Jones, Inc., and developing educational programs and raising funds for performing arts organizations, including the Oakland Symphony and the San Francisco and Washington operas.
A founding member and past chair of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, she is a graduate of Leadership Washington and received its community volunteer leadership award. In 2007 she established the Harriet M. Ivey Capstone Student Fund at the IUPUI Center on Philanthropy, helping disadvantaged students study philanthropy and prepare for leadership roles in the nonprofit sector.
