About R. Stephen Lehman

Dr. R. Stephen Lehman received his D.D.S. degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1973 and a certificate of postgraduate study in prosthodontics and dental materials in 1976. He has practiced prosthodontics in Carmel since 1977, is an active member of several dental associations, and has taught at the School of Dentistry in the prosthodontic department.

Dr. Lehman established the Russell Winfield Lehman, D.D.S., Scholarship, in memory of his father, supporting dental students who are Indiana residents and wish to pursue advanced degrees in prosthodontic dentistry. He also made a sizable planned gift to the School of Dentistry to establish an endowed chair for prosthodontics.

In 2020, Lehman was presented the Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished service to Indiana University.
