Dr. Charles H. Winslow “retired” from the political science department at the IUPUI School of Liberal Arts in 1999, but never stopped teaching. His legendary devotion to students eclipsed even his devotion to Mozart. An expert in Middle Eastern politics, he is the author of “Lebanon: War and Politics in a Fragmented Society” and numerous articles and presentations.
Winslow is well known for his tenure as commentator and panelist on “Consider This,” seen in cable markets throughout Indiana and the Louisville area. Since retirement, Winslow, also known for his expertise in game theory, continues to teach as an unpaid volunteer and still serves as one of the principals on “Consider This.” He has logged more than 2,000 volunteer hours in behalf of IU. The Charles H. Winslow Prize in Game Theory was established by the School of Liberal Arts upon his retirement.
Winslow received his B.A. from Indiana University in 1960, then went on to receive both his M.A. and Ph.D. from IU in 1962 and 1976, respectively.
