About Suellen Terry

Suellen Terry graduated from IUPUI in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Business-Marketing from the Kelley

School of Business. Her career in telecommunications sales, marketing, and sales support began with AT&T and

spanned 20-plus years with Indiana Bell, Ameritech, and later, SBC. In 2001, Terry retired as Midwest director

of sales support for SBC. A long-time supporter of IUPUI and the University Library, Terry joined the Library

Community Board of Advocates in January 2003. She served on the Campaign Steering Committee for the IUPUI

comprehensive campaign in 2003-2004, and in 2004 assisted in raising funds to support the anniversary gala

celebrating the library’s 10th birthday.

Terry chaired the Academic Commons Committee and worked with library development staff and other board members

to raise funds for both the pilot project and the full implementation of the Academic Commons. She was also vice president of the library’s Community Board of Advocates.
