Arlene Wilson has been a generous supporter of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences by funding the Louise Irwin Dietetics Scholarship Fund and the giving of her time
in many ways. She is professor emerita of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and for 18 years was the program director of the dietetic internship program. This program dates back to 1918 at Indiana University and is the second oldest program of its type in the country.
Professor Wilson is a past president of the American Dietetic Association, the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, with almost 65,000 members. She is a past recipient of the association’s prestigious Copher Award and has served in many capacities in her profession and community.
