Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) develops advanced life-improving vision technologies for people of all ages. AMO's technological innovations include products used in the ophthalmic surgery and contact lens and eye care. AMO is based in Santa Ana, California, and employs approximately 3,800 people worldwide. The company has operations in 24 countries and markets products in some 60 countries.

AMO has been a longtime supporter of the IU School of Optometry over the years. In addition to providing generous support, AMO has assisted IU's outreach efforts with the indigent population in Guanajuato, Mexico and provided a leadership gift for the construction of the IU School of Optometry Eye Care Center.
