About Claire M. Pearson

Residents of Atlanta, Georgia, Claire and Charls Pearson are partners in their philanthropic work, taking a deep, personal interest in the charities they support. The Pearsons have provided leadership to the fund raising efforts of the Peirce Edition Project, assisting the Project in achieving two NEH matching grants through challenges they made from the Pearson Family Foundation. In the early 2000s, the Pearsons made a bequest to the Peirce Edition Project that became the cornerstone to the Project’s endowment campaign. Charls and Claire are active in the Atlanta community, directing their philanthropy to their church as well as to other interests.
