IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2002

About Hill-Rom Company

In November 2001 a truck pulled up to the loading dock at the School of Nursing on the IUPUI campus to deliver eight hospital beds – including three “high-tech” beds for specialized uses – and a host of other furnishings manufactured by the Hill-Rom Company. This in-kind donation, valued at $95,000, is one of several that have helped furnish learning laboratories for nursing students on various IU campuses. It represented an ongoing and evolving partnership between the School of Nursing and Hill-Rom, a part of Hillenbrand Industries.
