IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2002

About Stephen O. Jones

Stephen O. Jones graduated from Indiana University with a Physical Therapy degree in 1963, and an M.S. in 1971. In 2002, Jones showed his support and dedication to his alma mater by establishing the Stephen O. Jones Physical Therapy Fellowship. The annual $2,000 gift is given annually to an outstanding student who has declared an interest in the area of geriatric or acute care physical therapy practice. In the fall of 2012, Jones endowed his Fellowship through a bequest commitment, ensuring that the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences will have available funding to continue the award well into the future.

Jones also gives his time and service to the school as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board and the SHRS Alumni Board.
