About Raytheon Technical Services

Raytheon Technical Services Company, a subsidiary of Raytheon Company, provides technical, scientific and professional services for defense, federal and commercial worldwide.

Raytheon began the Teacher’s resource Center in 1997. Targeting grades K-12, the project supports teachers in their goals to improve math and science skills and increase interest in the subjects by their students. In summer 2000, an agreement was made between Raytheon and the IUPUI Community Learning Network to form a partnership and move the Teacher’s Resource Center to IUPUI. The IUPUI Community Learning Network and the School of Education provide in-services and encourage use of the center and its resources. As of the end of January 2001, the partnership and the resources provided by Raytheon for the Teacher’s Resource Center enabled 37 area schools to request 50 kits that were used by more than 1100 students to experience hands-on math and science activities.
