A leading expert in the provision of services to children and their families, Cathleen S. Jochin Graham worked for 22 years in Indiana’s state child welfare and family services. During these years, Ms. Graham was instrumental in developing state policies, programs and legislation in such areas as prevention of child abuse, prevention and treatment of family violence, family preservation, child support, adoption and therapeutic and special needs foster care. She served as the Executive Director of IARCA - An Association of Children and Family Services a statewide membership and trade association of 97 children’s agencies and an Institute for Excellence dedicated to the improvement of practice in child and family services.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Chapter of Prevention of Child Abuse, Indiana Children’s Coalition and the National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Graham was President of the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers from 1994 to 1996. In March 1999, Governor Frank O’Bannon awarded her the Sagamore of the Wabash for her many contributions to child and family services.
Ms. Graham earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Evansville and Masters in Social Work at Indiana University School of Social Work.
