Richard Warne was a longtime friend and supporter of the Kelley School of Business. A DePauw University alumnus, he received his M.B.A. from the Kelley School, majoring in accounting. Warne retired from Eli Lilly and Company in 1990 as vice president of accounting development and general auditor, crowning a 34-year career in financial and accounting leadership at Lilly. He is part of the Kelley family and has served as a Kelley Indianapolis adjunct faculty member and a major donor to the IUPUI Comprehensive Campaign through Kelley Indianapolis.
In addition to his corporate career, Warne served on the boards of Boy Scouts of America Crossroads of America Council, YMCA, The Salvation Army, Mental Health Association, Indianapolis Day Nursery Association and Indiana Crime Prevention Coalition. He also was an executive-in-residence for The Robert C. McDermond Center for Management & Entrepreneurship at DePauw.
