About Guidant Foundation

The Guidant Foundation, a subsidiary of the Boston Scientific Corporation, invested in the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology’s first endowed faculty position, the Thomas J. Linnemeier Guidant Foundation Endowed Chair in Biomedical Engineering. This investment enabled the School to create a new, distinguished faculty position in the field of biomedical engineering. As a result, IUPUI has produced highly skilled graduates, leading to significant research results, and serving the state’s economic interests in developing its inherent strengths in health care and life sciences.
