Agnes P. Beaudry is a professor emerita of Romance Languages at DePauw University. She has also served on the National Selection Committee for Fulbright Teaching Assistantships in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Believing that the study of a foreign language must include immersion in the culture, Beaudry and her husband, Jim, have long been proponents of study abroad experience for their students. To that end, the Beaudrys established the Beaudry Scholarship for Prospective French Teachers to allow students to study their craft in French universities. This scholarship adds to their history of generosity to the School of Liberal Arts. Earlier, Beaudry endowed the Beaudry Summer Scholarship for French and Francophone Studies and provided additional funds to renovate space to create a language resource center, now known as the Beaudry Resource Center.
