About Joan McGowan

Joan McGowan and her husband Bill, former president and CEO of the Indianapolis Conventions and Visitors Association, are committed to marketing Indianapolis as a destination for conventions, travelers, and special events. They are dedicated equally to providing the city with a trained, skilled workforce. As a result, the William and Joan McGowan Endowed Scholarship was established to benefit students studying Tourism Management.
