Cyrus Behroozi earned his Master’s Degree from the IU Division of Social Service in 1962. He has a long and distinguished relationship with the IU School of Social Work, which began during his student years and ended with his role as professor emeritus. He has been a very involved member of the social work community locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. His volunteer service with such organizations as the International Center and the Indiana Council on World Affairs is indicative of his interest in social issues on a local and global level.
He and his wife, Helga, have a long history of philanthropic involvement and have established two scholarships at IU. One, the Behroozi Scholarship for the Study of Social Work with Groups, was established in 2003 to support scholarships for students pursuing an MSW and it is intended to encourage and support education for social work with groups.
Behroozi also earned a B.S. degree from the University of Wisonsin-Milwaukee in 1960 and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974.
