About Alvin E. Kite Jr.

Alvin Kite was the founder and chairman of the Kite Realty Group Trust's predecessor company and other affiliated companies, and served on the company's Board of Trustees since the company's initial public offering in August 2004. He was instrumental in the growth of the company, which began as an interior construction business in 1960 and is now a full-service real estate company.

Mr. Kite graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, he attended the Air Force Management School and served as a fighter pilot from 1955 to 1958, after which he served in the Air Force Reserves as a troop carrier pilot. Mr. Kite is a recognized leader in the Indianapolis business community, and has been active in numerous Indianapolis-based charitable organizations.
