Stephen Russell, currently Chairman of the Board at Celadon, served as Chief Executive Officer of Celadon from when he founded the company in May 1985 until 2012. Prior to Celadon, Russell worked in management positions including Director of Advanced Product Planning for Ford Motor Company, Chief Financial Officer for RCA Corporation, and President of Hertz Truck and Equipment Corporation. He holds a BA in mathematics and an MBA in finance and marketing from Cornell University.
Russell is a member of the American Trucking Associations’ Executive Committee and previously served as chairman of the Audit Committee. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Russell previously served as chairman of the Homeland Security Policy Committee, and served on the board of directors for the Cornell University Graduate School of Management, the Eiteljorg Museum, and the Phoenix Theatre.
Russell and his wife, Livia, are active supporters of many cultural organizations in Indianapolis and serve as leaders on several boards. They both serve on the Herron High School’s Board of Directors. The couple has made major philanthropic donations to the Herron High School as well as the Herron School of Art and Design.
