Lee Lewellen is one of the foremost strategic facilitators in Indiana and an expert on the dynamics of consensus building. He has conducted projects throughout Indiana as well as New Hampshire, Kansas, Memphis, Tennessee and the Carolinas.
Lewellen has served as CEO of the Indiana Economic Development Association, the statewide association for Indiana's economic development professionals, since 2013. From 1999-2007 he served as Vice President of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP). He managed a number of complex research projects including the Central Indiana Action Prospectus, and an advanced manufacturing study, What Indiana Makes, Makes Indiana.
He served in various executive positions over 15 years with the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. As Executive Director of MAGIC (Metropolitan Association of Greater Indianapolis Communities), Lewellen laid the groundwork for the formation of the Indy Partnership.
Lewellen holds a M.A. in Sociology from Ball State University. He is a 1996 Graduate of the Institutes for Organizational Management and completed the sequence for Community Foundations 101 from the Council on Foundations/Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University in 2002.
