About William H. Orr

William H. Orr was born in Buffalo, NY and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He studied physics, earning a B.S. from Cornell University, M.S. from Catholic University, and a Ph.D. from Cornell. Following his studies, he worked for Bell Labs, where he retired in 1989. He holds several patents, including one for integrated circuitry that was essential for the research and development of touch tone technology.
