About Brian Shapiro

Brian Shapiro is the fourth-generation owner of Shapiro's Delicatessen in Indianapolis. He took over the business in 1999, when his father Mort passed away. The business has been in the family for more than 100 years.

Shapiro attended the Kelley School of Business, where he earned his B.S. in accounting in 1981. He went on to study law at IU and earned his J.D. in 1984. He established the Max M. Shapiro Restaurant Excellence Scholarship at the IUPUI School of Physical Education and Tourism Management in honor of his great uncle.
