About Tom Ingolia

Tom Ingolia is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned an M.B.A.. Ingolia also holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from U.C. Berkeley. After earning his doctorate, Ingolia spent 13 years at Eli Lilly, where he began as a researcher, but quickly moved up the management ranks, eventually becoming the CEO of Sphinx Pharmaceuticals, whose acquisition he had targeted for Lilly.

Ingolia continued his career in pharmaceutical management. He left Lilly to accept senior executive positions in the biotech industry, with positions at Ontogeny, Microbia, Prolexys, and finally Medisyn.
